Dam: Good Will Hunting Canton X Sire: Hardwood Chesacolas The Legend

A joint project of our kennel (Good Will Hunting) and Silke Behling (Fools Farms):
Being aware of his exceptional breeding and personally knowing his breeder Virginia Bartnicki (Hardwood Kennels) and Angie & Brian Cox (Chesacola Kennel) as well as Nathaniel Horn (Eastern Waters), we've been watching Hardwood Chesacolas The Legend (aka Ty) since his birth.
Ty’s sire was born 20 years before him and produced very good offspring, which made those breeders cooperate; Nathaniel Horn gladly provided Eastern Waters The Equalizier frozen semen. Wonderful dogs were the result, among them Ty (the only deadgrass one in this litter).
Silke and me followed his growing and health results with pleasure and soon wanted him to be the dad of our next litters with Fools Farm's Bonny Lass of Hardwood (Piper) and Good Will Hunting Canton. Both have a lot in common: similar line on mothers side, the same US dad, both very successful in work and in show and both have a very pleasant character.
These pedigrees are very rare in Europe, and we are happy to bring a fresh breath to Germany's gene pool.
After a good deal of thought, we didn't want to fly our bitches or Ty, so we decided on frozen semen. Virgnia Bartnicki, a great advicer for many years, immediately did everything to get Ty's paperwork ready for German breeding requirements and to send us his frozen semen, which is waiting for Piper and Canton in Hessen now.
You can see in Ty's pedigree that he comes from one of the oldest US lines. Janet Horn, who wrote several books on the Chesapeake Bay Retriever was Nathaniel Horn's mother and founder of Eastern Waters Kennel, which already left remarkable footprints in Europe's breeding.
We are thrilled to tie in with this long standing line and hope our girls get pregnant;)
We hope for typical American Chessies of the "old American style". To preserve a very long line, including some of the foundation dogs of this wonderful breed.
Please contact us for more information, we are looking forward to your requests.
